Movie: The Green Hornet

Before I delineate the story of this humor clad action-drama, let me tell you what the biggest disappointment from the director Michel Gondry turns out ; it is.....Cameron Diaz! Cameron Diaz is totally wasted, featured as a 36 years old sensuous, intelligent and ‘permanent’ secretary of Britt(Seth Rogen) the spoilt son of an affluent but dead establisher of the most influential Newspaper of the country.
Anyways, talking about the positives of the film, situational comedy-well executed, action sequences- crankily, Crank inspired (the Jason Stathom’s flick), and welcoming on-screen presence of Jay Chou, the Taiwanese multi-talented, singer, song-writer, music award winner, film producer, director and actor. He was astonishing as Ketu, a talented machine inventor.
So, coming to the story part, Britt, after his father’s death, struck with huge responsibility of inherited media empire, meets Ketu. Awestruck by Ketu’s unconventional mechanic inventions he plans to fight the criminals out of LA, using Ketu’s Black-Beauty, a high-tech car of James Bond’s league. Both start their adventures under the cover of Green Hornet, posing as super villain, so that they can camouflage with the underworld well and then win over them. However, they realize that they terribly lack brain for planning and strategizing so they ask secretary Lenore(Cameron) to research on Green Goblet and deduce his moves. This way, she was unknowingly guiding their way. The ferocious King of the underworld Chudnosky(Christoph Waltz), agitated by the infiltration into his territory by new villains, conspires against Green Hornet. The chain of events untwine and Britt discovers several deeply buried secrets towards the end of the story.
If you are anywhere expecting logic from the story or rationalism from the characters, then you are committing a grave mistake. Stop watching it then and there, otherwise you will end up pulling even the last ones of your hairs. Even the greatest Don of the city seems imbecile when he suggests of changing his name to Bloodnosky and style to blood red colour….. :D In short, just chill, sit back and let the green bloody hornet tickle you to laughter…..
